​Mindful Walks

Both Mindfulness and walking are helpful against stress and worrying. In my Mindful Walks, I combine walking with traditional excersises from the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR). We  will walk in silence, interspersed with  excersises to cultivate attention. A healthy and relaxing outing and at the same time an accessible introduction to Mindfulness via movement. 

Mindful or meditative walking has become better know particularly through Vietnamese Zenmaster Thich Nath Hahn. I make use of his excersises and techniques quite frequently and love to share them with you. Did you know that walking is specifically helpful to prevent or cure burn-out? Especially walking in nature. Silence works calming and relaxing and mindfulness reduces stress, as is scientifically proven. 

Practical Information:

Dates:  Every Friday morning from October 9 until December 11 
​Time:  10.00 - 12.30 hrs
Opzet: Walks in silence combined with Mindfulness excersises
Corona-measures: We will keep 1,5 meter distance at all times, a Mindfulness excersise in itself. Maximum of 3 participants. 
​Costs: 7,5 Euro. Giving more (based on dana) is appreciated
Location: departure from either Library Voorburg or Leidschendam or from Mariastraat 73, Den Haag
